Help answer the question about degree in education online
Online special education degree?I would like to pursue a degree in special education. I live in rural Pennsylvania right over the Mason-Dixon line. I have a busy life with a job and family to take care of. Does anyone know of a way to get part of my degree online and do my student teaching on site? I currently hold an associates degree. But are online degrees really legit? Do companies really take them seriously?
It all depends on what you're looking for.
Kaplan is very efficient.
Hondros has audio (which can be helpful or could slow you down.)
The OAR has classes but they are laborious and tend to focus on dates, etc.
Google "Ohio Real Estate Online Continuing Education" and you will get the whole bunch.
Each has a "sample" and you can tell what works best for you and your learning style.
To my knowledge you can't do it online.
You need to contact the State Health board licensing office for Chiropractors, or the State Chiropractic association. They have lists online of when and where seminars are.
Online degree program in occupational therapy are being provided by quite a few online colleges and universities at an affordable price. These include University of Florida, A. I can't answer for Michigan, I am licensed in IL but I have taken all my CE classes for IL online and have been very pleased.
UMass-Lowell is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, which is a recognized regional accrediting body. All their programs, including online programs, are accredited by the regional accrediting body.

It depends on how much time you have and what your particular circumstances and learning styles are. Some people like the online schooling because they can take the classes at their own pace and can be easier to fit into a hectic schedule. Other people prefer face to face learning because they like a more personalized experience. It depends on if you need a more personal experience or if you need to do things at your own pace.
